At least 39 out of 100 Nigerians say they would prefer to have an international degree awarded by UK universities.

This is according to a survey by the Daily Trust asking respondents where they would most prefer to have an international degree.

The survey provided respondents with four countries: the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany and Canada.

While 30.2% of these respondents said they would prefer an international degree from universities in Canada, 18.4% chose to have their own from the United States of America.

And 12% say they would prefer to get theirs from universities in Germany.

Why study abroad?

Most students prefer to study abroad due to a number of factors.

One of the main reasons students say they have an international degree is the opportunity they use to see the world.

By studying abroad, students will experience a brand new country with amazing new perspectives, customs and activities.

Another reason is the possibility of experimenting with different styles of education.

By enrolling in a study abroad program, you will have the opportunity to see a new side of your specialization that you were not exposed to while you were in Nigeria.

Studying abroad also offers students the opportunity to express their language skills, learn new languages, learn more about the culture of others, etc.

Studying abroad is also strike-free from time to time compared to Nigeria where academics are on strike due to unmet demands.

Why would you like to study abroad?
