Philippe Gilbert unveiled this Monday the program of races it will compete in the coming months. The Belgian runner will resume competition on August 1 on the white roads of the Strade Bianche, before continuing with two other races in Italy, Milan-Turin and Milan-Sanremo, the main objective of his season.
After a week-long “break”, the leader of the Lotto Soudal team will resume competition during the Tour de Wallonie and will then take part in the Tour de France. A priori, Philippe Gilbert will not take part in the Flèche Wallonne on September 30, but he will be leaving from Liège-Bastogne-Liège on October 4. The Flèche Brabançonne, the Amstel Gold Race, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix, four races which are already on his list, will then appear on his program.
It remains to be seen whether he will be part of the various championships, the Euro (end of August, just before the Tour de France), the National (22/09) or the Worlds (27/09).
