Pierre Gasly “The relationship with Yuki Tsunoda is not seen in other F1 teams”[F1-Gate.com]

Pierre Guthrie will transfer to the Alpine F1 team in 2023 and welcome Esteban Ocon as a new teammate for Alpine. Looking ahead to the upcoming season with a new car, Gasly admits he will miss AlphaTauri teammate Yuki Tsunoda.

Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda have developed a friendly off-track relationship during their two years together in the team, and the two are often featured in each other’s social media posts.

The two have also taken part in various activities documented on Alpha Tauri videos, including several karaoke sessions which have been popular with fans.

Pierre Gasly believes his relationship with Yuki Tsunoda is a very unique teammate.

“Of course I miss Yuki,” Gasly told the media after the season-ending F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

“The relationship we have as teammates is something I don’t think you see in many teams, and it was invaluable.”

“But it’s also part of the sport and a career is moving forward. I’ll certainly miss him and wish him the best of luck.”

Pierre Gasly will not be able to work alongside Yuki Tsunoda at AlphaTauri, but is looking forward to the next chapter of his Alpine career with Esteban Ocon.

Both have had a troubled past, but both insist they have no problem with each other.

Pierre Gasly is excited about what lies ahead after Alpine finished fourth in the 2022 Constructors’ Championship.

“I’m very excited because the Alpine pack looks very competitive,” said Gasly.

“On some tracks they were actually quite close. In Brazil[Fernando]Alonso was fighting for the top five in the final stint.

“They’ve shown really quick pace on a few occasions. If they can take a step forward it will be even better, so jump in the car and start working on next year and everything that will be done to car next year.I’m very excited to hear about development
