Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys admitted former OfflineTV star Federico ‘Fedmyster’ Gaytan, who had several allegations of sexual misconduct against her, was a “big reason” for leaving the group’s Los Angeles mansion .
On June 19, Pokimane revealed that it was leaving the offline TV house almost a year after moving to Los Angeles. The Twitch star was one of four original members of the OTV content group, dating from mid-2017.
At the time, Anys declared his move had “nothing to do with offline TV” and was about to live with other friends.
This may not have been entirely true, however, after she revealed that Fedmyster played a major role in her decision, just a few days after several allegations of sexual misconduct were addressed to him by members of TV offline.
Pokimane admitted that Fedmyster spent much of his friendship “manipulating [her] without her knowing it, “and making sure he controlled the story around his relationships, his friends in the house, and” all [her] private life.”
“Even though I had had no major problems with Fed since moving into the new house, I was still not entirely happy and had a lot of pent-up resentment for him,” Pokimane said in a short broadcast on June 28 on the current situation. .
“I felt that the only appropriate and unproblematic way for me to manage my emotions was to move out. There were many reasons … [but] Fed was a big pushing force, but I mean all the other things I also say. But was he one of them? Yes.”
Pokimane revealed that Gaytan “would tell the other guys [she was dating him]”So that they would” back off, “and in one case, they even said on a date that Anys had brought to an OTV party that they were an article, but that” no one could know. “
“He would lie a lot. I’ve had a lot of trust issues with him over the years, “continued Pokimane,” and we would be fighting over a lot. If he was wrong, he would ignore my existence in the house. He would literally refuse to recognize me. “
During some of these periods, Anys would face Fedmyster, she said, for “trying to fix things”, but he would continue to ignore. On top of that, he would lie about the situation to their friends and colleagues, so that it “sounds really crazy” and “in the wrong”.
It wasn’t until Pokimane sat down with the rest of the members of offline TV, including Yvonne and LilyPichu, that she discussed “the extent of what Fed had actually done” all these years ” behind [her] back.”
“I realized that he would lie a lot about me and create stories in his favor that would hint at a lot of negative things about me. It took everyone around me away, and it’s baffling that I just found out about it. “
“It’s really hard for me to explain how it hurts to find out the person I was closest to, and the person I shared with how much I wanted these friendships with, was the same person who would isolate me and sabotage those friendships for me, “she continued.
“I don’t know if it was his intention, I would like to think that it was more of a careless or reckless thing, but in the end it kept everyone around me away.
“I started to cry in panic at the intervention, and afterwards, just because of the mourning for all the years of friendships that I lost because of him. He was the first person I trusted and the last person I expected to do this to me and around me. “
Fedmyster joined Offline TV for the first time in 2017 as a production editor, but was not officially part of the content team until 2018. He has now been removed from the entertainment group.
Pokimane moved on June 19. She did not say if she plans to return home to offline TV after the Fed’s withdrawal. Lilypichu, Yvonne, Toast, Michael Reeves and Scarra still live in the house.
Scarra, who co-founded the house, revealed there had been several backstage discussions on whether they should “close” offline TV, but confirmed that the group had decided to “continue operating offline” with the aim of “returning to normal soon”.
