The Antwerp police confiscated a lot of fruit and vegetables last weekend. The seller sold it in the Stuivenberg district without a license. In consultation with the public prosecutor’s office, everything was donated to the food distribution Al Ikram in Borgerhout.
“During a campaign against nuisance, the district team of the Stuivenbergwijk noticed a man who sold all kinds of food from his vehicle,” says the Antwerp police. The man was even provided with a scale and plastic bags and sold fruit and vegetables, among other things.
“He did this without any permits. The district team confiscated everything and made a PV. In consultation with the Antwerp public prosecutor’s office, all food was donated to the food distribution Al Ikram in Borgerhout ”, it sounds.
The district team also caught six people carrying drugs during the action. One potential drug dealer was arrested. Three illegal dumping officers were caught red-handed and a runaway minor was found.
