Poor people sell women to pay the police: Pragya Singh Thakur | BJP MP | Shivraj Singh Chouhan | Sangeeta Sharma

Bhopal: BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur has alleged that the poor people of her three adopted villages were forced to sell their daughters to pay the police. She was speaking at a program organized by traders’ organization ‘Bharatiya Udyog Vyagri Mandal’ on Saturday.

“People in those villages are poor. They make and sell illegal drinks. They sell their daughters to free those caught by the police. “They give the money for selling their girls to the police,” he said.

Sangeeta Sharma, Congress spokesperson and member of the Madhya Pradesh Women’s Commission, responded to Bhopal MP Pragya Singh’s comments.

“It’s sad and disgraceful. The Shivraj Singh Chouhan government has been in power for 18 years. Beti Padhao and Beti Bachao campaigns are making big claims. This is the situation in the state capital Bhopal. The BJP MP himself describes the basic facts. This shows that all the big claims made in Madhya Pradesh are false. Sangeeta Sharma demanded that Pragya Singh Thakur should reveal to whom these children are being sold and who are the buyers.
