BEIJING (Reuters) – Real estate loans in China increased 13.1% from a year earlier to 47.40 trillion yuan ($ 6.79 trillion) in the six months to June, the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) said ) Friday.

The new real estate loans accounted for 24.7% of all new loans issued in the first half of the year, said PBOC in a note published on its website.

The central bank said pending individual mortgages grew 15.7% to 32.36 trillion yuan over the same period, up from a 15.9% increase in late March.
