Prosecutors asked for a summary order of a fine for charges such as special assault on Lee Ju-no (55, real name Lee Sang-woo), who was a member of the group ‘Seo Taiji and Boys’.
According to the legal community on the 2nd, on the 30th of last month, the Seoul Western District Prosecutor’s Office requested a summary order of a fine of 1 million won against Lee Ju-no, who was charged with special assault and property damage .
Lee Ju-no is accused of attacking the owner with a cup and throwing a beer glass at a bar in Yongsan-gu, Seoul in September.
A summary order is an order in which a district court imposes a fine, fine, or forfeiture only through a written hearing without going through a trial procedure. If the judge finds it inappropriate or if the defendant does not comply with the summary order, a formal trial can be requested.
Earlier, in 2018, Lee Ju-no was sentenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison and 2 years probation by the Supreme Court for fraud and indecent assault.
