Jeddah: The three-day global ‘Black Hat’ exhibition, where the world’s leading cyber security experts will gather, will begin on November 15 in Riyadh. It will be the largest cyber security fair in the Middle East and North Africa. The fair is organized by the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security-Programming-Drone-Informa Tech and the General Entertainment Authority as part of the Riyadh season celebrations.
The three-day long fair will be held at Riyadh Front Centre. The ‘Black Hat’ fair will bring together the most prominent experts and speakers in the field of cyber security in the presence of more than 200 of the world’s most important officials. Apart from several sessions and workshops, the fair will also have specialist training courses with recognized certificates. The venue will also witness many games. Prizes of 10 lakh Saudis will be awarded to the winners of the competition.
An Executive Summit area specifically for cyber security leaders to discuss the latest developments, expertise and experiences in cyber security, a technical workshop area, a business hall area that brings leading and emerging companies together with global local expertise, an arsenal area where developers share the latest open source hacking methods, 50 professionals The fair will be divided into areas for training courses for trainers. The fair will also include a Black Hat event area sponsored by Neom.
1,000 competitors representing 200 teams from 35 countries will compete in a special ‘Capture the Flag’ competition. The winners of the three-day competition will get a prize of seven lakh Saudis. Black Hat, a global exhibition focused on cyber security, was started in 1997. It is considered one of the most important global forums and a destination for those interested in the field of information security.
It started as an annual fair in ‘Las Vegas’ before the event moved to many countries around the world. The fair is being held in Riyadh for the first time and aims to share experiences, review the latest technology to address challenges and improve cyber capabilities.
