The first Ryanair flight from Riga will take place to the Austrian capital Vienna. In the near future, the airline plans to launch flights to other destinations – London, Berlin, Dublin, Milan, Brussels, Manchester, Edinburgh, East Midlands and Paphos.
In total, it is possible to travel to more than 30 destinations from Riga Airport next week, and the flights are operated by Ryanair, the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air, the national airline airBaltic, the German airline Lufthansa and the Finnish air carrier Finnair ”.
With the number of flights gradually increasing and new destinations opening, Riga Airport served 10,308 passengers in May, 7248 more than in April. However, the decrease in the number of serviced passengers in May, compared to 2019, is still significant – 98.6%.
In the first five months of this year, compared to the corresponding period of 2019, the number of passengers served at Riga Airport has more than halved – by 54.7%.
