Samsung Electronics to release ‘Galaxy Tab S8 FE’ with MediaTek chipset

The news is that Samsung Electronics will release the ‘Galaxy Tab S8 FE (Fan Edition)’, an entry-level model of the Galaxy Tab S8 series.

According to foreign media on the 27th (local time), a Samsung device with the model number SM-X506B was recently discovered on Geekbench. It’s the same as the Galaxy Tab S8 FE model number that was said to be last year.

According to the Geekbench database, the ‘Galaxy Tab S8 FE’ is powered by a Mediatek chip with model number MT8791V / ZA and provides 4GB of RAM and Android 13 operating system.

This MediaTek chip is called the Kompanio 900T 6nm chip, announced in September 2021. Designed for tablets and Chromebooks, the chip contains two Cortex-A78 CPU cores and six Cortex-A55 cores and is include a Mali-G68 GPU.

The availability and pricing information of the ‘Galaxy Tab S8 FE’ is yet to be confirmed, but is expected to be announced in the fourth quarter.
