‘Sanju cannot be ruled out if he performs better than the ball’; Member of the Selection Committee | BCCI | India tour of New Zealand | Rishabh Pant Sanju Samson | Sports News

A member of the team’s selection committee said that the Malayali cricketer, Sanju Samson, is a talent and there is no doubt that he is also part of the Indian cricket team’s plans. A member of the Indian team selection committee told the sports media that if Sanju and Ishan Kishan perform better than Rishabh Pant in the series against New Zealand, they will never be benched.

“Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan should take advantage of the opportunity. Dinesh Karthi is only a temporary solution. We know that too.”- said the member of the selection committee. Sanju Samson has also been included in the squads for the ODI and T20I series against New Zealand. Hardik Pandya will lead India in the Twenty20 series and Shikhar Dhawan in the ODI series. Rishabh Pant is the vice-captain of both the teams.

Meanwhile, Sanju was not included in the squad for the series against Bangladesh. The first Twenty20 match against the Kiwis is on November 18. Other T20 matches are on the 20th and 22nd. The ODIs will be played on November 25, 27 and 30.
