LUSAIL, Qatar (Reuters) – Lionel Messi, 35, celebrated his victory in the second round of the World Cup in Qatar by dancing late into the night with his teammates.

In Group C, Argentina entered the tournament unbeaten in 36 matches, but lost 1-2 in their first match against Saudi Arabia. However, Messi scored the first goal against Mexico on the 26th and won 2-0.

Messi, who showed his emotions by roaring at the fans when he scored the opening goal, took off his shirt in the locker room after the win, raised his hands and jumped on the table with goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. He sang and danced with his teammates all day, exploding with joy.

For Messi, who is yet to win the World Cup trophy, this will be his fifth World Cup appearance. It is seen as the last chance for the first victory.
