Some incredible visuals of the SpaceX Falcon Rocket boosters on Earth during SpaceX’s STP-2 went viral, and many netizens have compared it to footage seen in science fiction movies and TV shows.
The STP-2 mission took off from Cape Canaveral in Florida in June 2019. The rockets were carrying a cargo of 24 experimental satellites.
As the launch took place at night, the view was all the more extraordinary in the dark.
Cosmic Perspectives, a rocket launch and photography company, documented the mission using a remote camera in slow motion. According to reports, the crew of Cosmic Perspectives placed the camera on the ground around the launch pad 18 hours before takeoff.
The launch visuals shared on social media last year sparked many reactions. Recently, remote cameras have again captured visuals of two boosters landing on Earth almost at the same time.
Here’s the full coverage:
When the boosters fall from the horizon, they illuminate the night sky and are reflected in the water like flowing suns.
“Being able to capture these images and document Falcon Heavy was about one of the most incredible things I have ever done. Until the next launch, probably not before 2021, but we will be here on the space coast, ready to go, ”said the narrator in the video.
As expected, Internet users were once again blown away by the breathtaking visuals. Many have said that the landing looked like a sci-fi movie.
After the launch in June 2019, Elon Musk described it as the “ most difficult launch ” in an interview with CNN.
