Madrid: Football player Gerard Pique will retire from football with Barcelona’s next match in La Liga. Pique’s decision to retire was announced via social media. Pique has announced that Barcelona’s game against Almeria at the Camp Nou on November 6 will be his last game.

Pique only played in three games during the La Liga season. Pique, aged 35, was part of the Spanish national team between 2009 and 2018. He scored five goals in 102 games. He played for Manchester United and Real Zaragoza from 2004 to 2008. He arrived at Barcelona in 2008. Pique played for Barcelona as a centre-back.

Barcelona are currently in second place in La Liga. Barcelona progress with 10 wins from 12 games. Real Madrid is in first place with 32 points from 12 games.
