Doha: Under the leadership of INCAS Qatar Kozhikode district committee, a reception was held for the leaders and prizes were distributed to the winners of the speech competition. Congress leaders from Kozhikode, Adv. Reception for Vidya Balakrishnan (National Secretary, IYC), PK Habib Vanimeel (Vice President, DCC), Adv Sufiyan Cheruvadi (District General Secretary, Youth Congress), Jyoti Gangadharan (IT Coordinator, DCC Kozhikode) and speech to children on the occasion of Children’s Day Prize distribution to the winners in different categories of the matsam was also held at Hilal Kalakshetra.
Alim Sain and Mehjabin KT won the first and second positions in the Malayalam speech competition category A. Anum Mansoor, Sahareen Abeeb and Nafeesa won the first three positions in English.
Mehreen KT and Shifin Siddique in Category B Malayalam. Aiden Joseph, Alok NM and Aisha Tania won first and second positions in English.
The reception meeting was conducted by the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Central Committee, Siddique Purail, under the chairmanship of District President Vipin PK Mepayur. Chief Patron Ashraf Vadakara, Arts Wing Chairman Sarin Keloth and Regional Media Secretary Altaf OK spoke at the meeting where he welcomed Regional General Secretary Muhammadali Vanimel. Aziz Purail, Rafi Kavil, Rajilal, Jitesh Naripata, Hafil Otuwayal and Sachin led the speech competition under the guidance of Arts Wing Chairman Sarin Kelot. Adv Vidya Balakrishnan, PK Habib Vanimeel, Adv Sufiyan Cheruvadi and Jyoti Gangadharan, who participated as guests, elaborated on the need to ensure a strong presence of the Indian National Congress in the contemporary political scenario in India.
