Casa dos Croissants, headquartered in Maximinos, Braga, offered 600 cakes to Hospital de Braga, in a form of “thanks” to health professionals in the face of the pandemic times of covid-19.
O MINHO, the manager, Mané Braga, highlights the gesture as a “thank you” for all that that hospital and its collaborators have done for Braga and the region.
“I have seen several ways of thanking these professionals and, taking into account that our business is sweets, it was the best way I found to thank them,” he explained.
This is not the first solidarity offer from that establishment, which still has a store in the Fujacal area, in the city center. “At Christmas time, we offer cakes to the Braga Volunteer Firefighters,” he said.
It is also customary for the establishment to offer food items to the University of Minho, to be distributed to the neediest students.
The municipality of Braga is the most affected by the pandemic in the Minho region, with more than a thousand infected people confirmed and 44 dead.
