Sydney: India’s second successive win in the T20 World Cup. Rohit Sharma and his team beat Netherlands, the youngest team in Super 12 Group 2, by 56 runs. Chasing the target of 180 runs set by India, the Dutch team’s innings ended with 123 runs in the allotted overs. Until the last turn, the orange team held on without getting it all out. India won the toss and batted first.

The performance of Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav helped India set a target of 180 runs against the Netherlands. All three scored half centuries. Virat Kohli was the top scorer with 62 runs. Although it was a good batting pitch, India’s batting was slow. Suryakumar and Kohli’s innings in the last over took India’s score to 170. Meanwhile, KL Rahul, who was dismissed for nine runs, was once again a disappointment. Paul van Meekeren and Fred Klaasen took the wickets for the Dutch team.
