Tanner Boser made a statement when he started at the UFC.

The Canadian heavyweight clinched an impressive first round knockout against former PFL champion Philipe Lins on the UFC preliminary card on ESPN 12 on Saturday night in Las Vegas. The official stop occurred at 2:41 of the first round.

Boser (18-6-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) connected with a hard right hand that seemed to stun the Brazilian briefly, but immediately followed with a quick combination that sent Lins straight to the canvas. With this result, Boser rebounded after a loss of decision against Ciryl Gane in December. Boser said in his post-fight interview that he wanted a quick turnaround and participate in “Fight Island” next month.
