The best iPhone 15 “Ultra” model improves selfie with two front cameras | Forbes JAPAN

There have already been mixed reports of leaks about next year’s iPhone 15, suggesting the series could be the biggest iPhone upgrade in years.

Meanwhile, industry insider MajinBu says that the top model “iPhone 15 Ultra” will include 256GB of storage, USB-C (which is said to have the same transfer speed as Thunderbolt 4), and two front cameras.

Of these, the most anticipated is the information on the “two front cameras”. According to MajinBu, only the iPhone 15 Ultra will have dual front cameras. Competing Android devices have made similar experiments in the past (notably the Pixel 3 / 3XL), but the feature has disappeared in recent years. Apple is also known for reinventing innovations created by its competitors, improving their value, and bringing them to market.

Google used the Pixel 3’s dual front cameras with wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses. The ultra-wide angle lens was particularly effective for taking selfies with a large number of people and for capturing more of the background. This feature on the Pixel 6 Pro uses software to achieve the effect with one camera only.

It remains to be seen whether Apple will copy this feature, but usually the company likes to put its own spin on things. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a new shooting mode or FaceID improvements.

MajinBu supports the views of AppleLeaksPro and Bloomberg’s Marc Garman, stating that the iPhone 15 Ultra will replace the “Pro Max.” As a result, the iPhone 15 series is expected to include iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Ultra in addition to the base model.

2023 is expected to be the year Apple renews its iPhone lineup.
