“The coming days are going to be critical.” In the words of Adrien Bron, Director General of Health, the health situation in Geneva is serious. The figures bear this out: the number of deaths has doubled in two days, going from seven to thirteen since Friday.
This table is all the more worrying as 179 people were hospitalized, Sunday at midday, and 36 patients intubated because of Covid-19!
So it is advisable once again to repeat this message, perhaps boring for some in the long run … but capital: if you want to help the caregivers and preserve the most vulnerable, you must absolutely respect the instructions of confinement, social distance and dictated by the authorities. And if possible stay at home!
Everyone’s freedoms are restricted and it’s not pleasant for anyone. However, this is the only way to protect populations at risk. This solidarity is essential so that the sick can receive care.
Hear the Geneva police, many people are still not ready to give up listening to band music … The police have issued forty fines this weekend to sanction more gatherings of five people.
Many young people gathered in peri-urban areas. However, they should know that, according to our sources, a significant proportion of intubated people are younger than the profile initially described. It is time for hospital circles to reveal it.
Not to cause panic among the youngest among us but to avoid the total confinement which threatens us. And who would otherwise be more unpleasant than what we are currently experiencing, to observe the life of our French neighbors.
