Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the 5th (local time) that “the situation will stabilize” about the occupied territories in the annexed Ukraine.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing today that the annexed occupied territories have begun an intensive process of adjustment, which will not be easy.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a daily briefing that Russian troops were holding positions in the southern Kherson region and repelling a dominant enemy offensive.

He said airstrikes were carried out this week in two areas, Duchani and Davidiv Brid, in Kherson province, which had been lost to Ukrainian forces.
