The state government tries to protect the Popular Front: K Surendran – K Surendran | Popular Front | Kerala Govt

Kozhikode – BJP state president K. Surendran said the state government is preparing a defense without taking action against the banned Popular Front. The state’s Left government is taking a cool approach when other states are taking strong action against the banned riot outfit. Surendran pointed out that reports had emerged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had said in a high-level meeting that no hasty action should be taken against the Popular Front.

“It is certain that this is the return of the vote and the illegal alliance that was accepted in the last elections. The Prime Minister said that action should be taken according to law. According to the law of the land, the Popular Front was banned for being a threat to national security. The government is not ready to raid or confiscate the offices of the Popular Front. This should be read in conjunction with the position of the National General Secretary of the CPM Sitaram Yachuri and the Secretary of State MV Govindan that the Popular Front should not be banned’ – said Surendran.

“VS Achuthanandan was the Chief Minister of the CPM who said that the Popular Front were religious terrorists. But today when Pinarayi reaches Vijayan, CPM has completely surrendered to religious terrorists. “The soft approach against the Popular Front is a clear example of the fact that the state administration does not act in accordance with the constitution of the country, but according to the decision of the CPM,” claimed K. Surendran.
