The US included North Korea in countries of particular concern for religious freedom for 21 years… China, Russia and Saudi Arabia

The US State Department has included North Korea in its 21st year on the list of ‘countries of particular concern for religious freedom’, which indicates countries that seriously violate religious freedom.

US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln announced on 2nd local time that he would designate 12 countries, including North Korea, Russia, China, Iran, Myanmar, and Saudi Arabia, as countries of particular concern for religious freedom.

Minister Blincoln explained that these countries “participate in or condone very serious crimes against religious freedom.”

North Korea has been designated as a country of particular concern for religious freedom for 21 consecutive years, and compared to last year, two countries, Cuba and Nicaragua, were added to the list of countries of particular concern.
