There is no life, but I can create art; Ida Robot speaks to UK lawmakers | Not alive, but I can still create art,’ robot Ai-Da told UK lawmakers

London: Ida Lovelace, the ‘robot artist’, can still create art even though it is an artificial creation. Ida was speaking to British lawmakers at a parliamentary inquiry into how new technologies are affecting the creative industries.

When asked by the committee how robot creations differ from those made by humans, the answer was that they rely on computer programs and algorithms.

When asked how she completed the paintings, Aida said she paints using algorithms, eye cameras and a robotic arm. Ida has many works, including a painting of the late Queen Elizabeth, which has been displayed in galleries.

Scientists at the University of Oxford have developed a robot with a female face. It was named after British mathematician and computer expert Ida Lovelace. Aida is the world’s first ultra-realistic AI humanoid robot artist.
