There was a fear that the comment would affect the film; But they said it was a fierce promotion: Nikhila Vimal

Actress Nikhila Vimal faced massive cyber attacks after she made a comment about cow slaughter in an interview given to a YouTube channel as part of the promotion of the film Jo & Jo. Nikhila’s comment was that there is no system in India or Kerala where a cow cannot be killed or eaten.

The actress says she fears the comment would affect the film badly. Nikhila’s comments were in an interview given to Ginger Media Entertainments. The actor was responding to the presenter’s question about how he sees criticism. The actors were involved in the promotion of the film Koth.

“The tension for me was that it was around the time of the release of Jo & Jo. The only question is whether this will cause any problems for the film. When I told them, they were even happier. I got a good promotion,” says Nikhila.

Asif Ali’s response was that someone was doing it thinking she should get a job.

“Nikhila’s response in the controversial interview was very sincere when she said ‘I will eat it’ about the food she eats. Then came many interpretations. This is the work of someone who thinks that if you drop one, it will run. Let her get a job,” said Asif Ali.

Koth was a film directed by CB Malail starring Asif Ali and Nikhila Vimal in the lead roles. Set in the political backdrop of Kannur, the film is about the murderous politics and the families that are burnt to death in the political turmoil.
