Continuing the tradition, for the fourteenth year in a row, the Riga Culture and Folk Art Center “Small Guild” will offer free jazz concerts to Rigans and guests of Riga in the summer months on Thursday afternoons, the organizers inform the portal “Delfi”.

From July 2 to August 27, in the garden of the Small Guild, every Thursday at 17.00 it will be possible to hear free jazz music concerts performed by well-appreciated Latvian musicians. The Jam Orchestra and the City Jazz Big Band will take part in the concerts this summer.

“Jam Orchestra” (Romāns Vendiņš – piano, Pēteris Liepiņš – bass, Zintis Žvarts – saxophone, Andrejs Jevsjukovs – guitar, Gundars Lintiņš – drums) will perform in the garden of the Small Guild on July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. On August 6, 13, 20, 27, “City Jazz Big Band” will perform under the direction of Kārlis Vanags.

The event is organized in accordance with national epidemiological safety regulations. For security reasons, the number of visitors to the Small Guild Garden area is limited. We invite those interested to enjoy the event while being in the territory of Livu Square and behaving responsibly towards their own and others’ health.
