Tourism Malaysia and Foodie Media Berhad have formalized a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the upcoming Visit Malaysia 2026-2027 campaign. According to Tourism Malaysia, the collaboration aims to leverage digital content creation and destination marketing to highlight the country’s culinary heritage, cultural attractions, and lifestyle experiences for both domestic and international travelers.
Digital Content and On-Ground Media Coverage
Under the agreement, Good Foodie Media Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Foodie Media Berhad, will support the production and distribution of digital material for the Visit Malaysia campaign. According to official disclosures from Tourism Malaysia, the subsidiary will provide on-ground coverage of designated events, food festivals, and heritage site activations. The partner network operates 45 lifestyle brands with a combined following exceeding 50 million users across multiple digital platforms. These channels include Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, RedNote, Lemon8, X, Douyin, Telegram, and WhatsApp. Specific lifestyle platforms involved in the network include KL Foodie, Penang Foodie, Halal Foodie, Da Ma Chi Huo, and Malaysia Homie, covering food, travel and lifestyle.
Official Support and Extended Campaign Timeline
Tourism Malaysia will supply Good Foodie Media with curated information regarding national tourism offerings, including gastronomy, lifestyle attractions, and emerging destinations. The agency will also facilitate the media group’s participation in selected events throughout 2026. The partnership arrives as Malaysia extends promotional efforts for the tourism initiative through the end of 2027.
