[28日 ロイター] – Ukrainian authorities said on Monday that Ukrainian forces have almost taken control of a major road linking two Russian-held areas in the eastern part of the offensive.

Ukrainian forces are now marching east in the eastern Lugansk region, aiming to recapture the Russian-occupied provinces of Svatove and Kreminna.

“Ukrainian forces have effectively taken control of the road from Svatove to Kreminna,” Lugansk governor Gaidai told state television.

Earlier, a Russian official said on the 26th that there had been heavy fighting in Kreminna and Svatove.

Kreminna, about 45 kilometers south of Svatove, has been on the front line of the fighting since September.
