[7日 ロイター] – Ukrainian power grids have been severely damaged by Russian military strikes with more than 1,000 rockets and missiles so far, said power grid operator Uklenergo. Interfax Ukraine reported on the 7th. The power grid is still working, he said.

Uklenergo CEO Volodymyr Kudritsky said at a meeting organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) that workers are looking around the world for complex equipment needed for repairs.

Eight waves of recent Russian airstrikes against critical infrastructure have severely damaged power grids and caused emergency blackouts and shutdowns in Ukraine.

“These attacks are the biggest blow to the power grid that mankind has ever experienced,” Kudritsky said.
