Singer and actress Vanessa Paradis has defended her former husband Johnny Depp against the domestic violence allegations made by his ex-wife Amber Heard.
According to court documents that The Blast Paradis states that Depp has never acted violently towards her and that Heard’s allegations are false.
“I’ve known Johnny for over 25 years,” Paradis said in a statement. “He was never violent against me, nor did he mistreat me in any other way.”
Paradis calls the accusations by Heard false. “Unfortunately, people are starting to believe these false accusations. That is damaging to Depp’s career.”
Paradis and Depp had a relationship for fourteen years and have two children together. The couple broke up in 2012.
Depp demands more than 44 million euros because of slander
Depp is involved in a lawsuit with his ex-wife Heard. She accused him of sexual violence and assault. In order to compensate for the defamatory charges that he considers to be, the Pirates of the Caribbeanstar an amount of $ 50 million (over 44 million euros).
