Director Omar Lulu praised Mohanlal’s film Monster, which hit the theaters this weekend. Sharing the calmness of Mohanlal’s character, Omar Lulu wrote on social media that the film is a good entertainer. “Laletan’s Monster is a much better entertainer than a film I went to the theater and died of delay after seeing fans rejecting it on Facebook. Honey Rose is also popular,” noted Omar.
Monster’s USP was the reunion of the Pulimurugan crew, which will always be remembered among the hits of the Malayalam industry. Mohanlal starrer directed by Vysakh and scripted by Udayakrishna. The film was produced by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas, and has been shown all over the world.
The film is releasing in 216 screens in Kerala only. The film has a wide release in other states as well. The film hit 141 screens in Bengaluru, Chennai, Trichy, Salem, Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Goa, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Bhopal, Jaipur and Bhubaneswar. So a total of 357 screens in India. The film, facing a GCC release ban due to its LGBTQIA+ content, has a good screen count in Europe. Monster is being shown on 104 screens in the UK alone. Distributors inform that Monster has the largest screen count for a Malayalam film in Europe.
