Mugunghwa train derails at Yeongdeungpo Station… usual 4 pm

Last night (6th) at around 8:52, the Mugunghwa train derailed near Yeongdeungpo Station in Seoul.

Of the 275 passengers on the train in the accident, 35 suffered minor injuries, and some received hospital treatment.

The accident train left Yongsan Station at 8:45pm and was on its way to Iksan Station, and KORAIL said 6 trains had derailed.

Subway Line 1 resumed after being suspended for about 40 minutes, but train passengers are still experiencing inconvenience such as delays.

KORAIL explained that it is carrying out restoration work with the aim of normalizing it around 4 pm today.
