The Department of Disease Control has released a roadmap to distribute vaccines in Oct. 24 million doses through 5 main formulas, aiming to cover 50 percent of Thai people in each province or more, focusing on the elderly, chronic diseases, and pregnant women the most. While stimulating the 3 group of Sinovac needles to those who had the last injection in March-May before, the immune system had fallen.

On September 11, 2021, Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong Director-General of the Department of Disease Control revealed that the situation with COVID-19 infections around the world is still severe, with an increase of 5.9 lakh people today (September 11), the number 1 ranking is still the United States. followed by India and United Kingdom The daily death rate is as high as 9.08 thousand, but the overall picture is not as heavy as 3-4 months ago.

As for Thailand, the daily number of infections is around 15,191, with universal protection measures still in place. Ready to speed up vaccination against covid and more proactive screening with ATK

In the next phase, we may need to focus on additional organizational measures. In future cases there will be relaxation. Open to the public to do various activities and activities through cooperation from both the government, private sector, as well as the general public.

However, today (September 11) the vaccination rate is as high as 758,503 doses (as of September 10), with a total cumulative injection of more than 39 million doses, divided into the first dose of more than 26.9 million. People, the 2nd needle is about 12 million people, and the 3rd needle covers 600,000 people.

As for the distribution plan in October, the main focus will be on 5 approaches:

1. Emphasize that every province has at least 50% coverage of the total population, and that each province has at least one district with 70% coverage and at least one COVID free area model, as well as increasing coverage in the elderly. People with chronic diseases, 7 disease groups, pregnant women as much as possible As for other groups, the Provincial Communicable Disease Committee shall consider.

2. Vaccinate the second dose for those who received the first dose of vaccination.

3. Expand the age group from 12 years old to prepare before the beginning of the semester.

4.Injecting syringes to those who have received 2 full doses of Sinovac vaccination during March-May 2021.

5.Injecting economic areas and to control outbreaks

Of all vaccines coming in October, there will be approximately 24 million doses, namely 6 million doses of Sinovac, 10 million doses of AstraZeneca, 8 million doses of Pfizer and if Including 6 million doses of Sinofarm alternative vaccines, Thailand will have up to 30 million doses of vaccine next month.

For the vaccine allocation in October, 24 million doses of vaccine will be divided into five main regimens as follows:

1.Sinovac 1st dose 7 million doses + Astra 2nd dose 7.5 million doses (SV+AZ)
2. AstraZeneca 2 doses 2 million doses (AZ+AZ)
3. AstraZeneca For booster dose needle 3 Sinovac group 2 needle 5 hundred thousand doses (SV+SV+AZ)
4. Pfizer is the 2nd dose of 2 million doses in the first AstraZeneca injection group (AZ+Pf).
5. Pfizer 1st needle 4 million doses + Pfizer 2nd needle 1 million doses (Pf+Pf)

But if separated by target groups who received vaccination in October, people aged 18 years and over will receive a 70 percent vaccine, equal to 16.8 million doses, while students aged 12-17 will receive a hundred vaccinations. 20 each, representing 4.8 million doses, while workers in the Social Security system received 3% of the vaccine, representing 800,000 doses. Government agencies such as the Department of Corrections received 5% of the vaccine, accounting for 1.1 million doses, and those who received Two doses of synovac vaccine, two or five hundred thousand doses of booster-dose 3%.

When asked about the group who received 2 doses of Sinovac during the previous period when the immune system started to fall. Who will start the booster dose first? Dr. Opas said that the Faculty of Immunization will be injected sequentially Starting from those who injected the second needle of Sinovac in March-May first because of low immunity. And when more vaccines are obtained, they will gradually expand the injection to the person who injects the second needle in June next.
