South African Faf Duplessis may not play for Chennai Super Kings in the first match of the second term of the IPL. The player has not fully recovered from an injury sustained during a match in the Caribbean Premier League. Therefore, it is reported that Duplessis will not play in the match against Mumbai Indians on the 19th of this month. (Duplessis Uthappa CSK IPL)
If Duplessis does not play, Indian batsman Robin Uthappa may open the innings with Rituraj Gaikwad. Uthappa, who came from Rajasthan Royals after last season, did not play in a single match in the first quarter. Therefore, if they play against Mumbai, it will be Uthappa’s debut in a Chennai jersey.
The rest of the IPL 14 season will be played in Dubai from September 19. There are 31 matches left. The BCCI has said that it will be held in three venues. The matches will be played at Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah stadiums. The final and first qualifier will be played in Dubai. The final will be held on October 15 and the first qualifier on October 10. The eliminator will take place on October 11 and the second qualifier on October 13 at the Abu Dhabi Stadium.

The BCCI will conduct 30,000 RTPCR tests in the second quarter of the IPL. Dubai-based VPS Healthcare provides medical services to athletes and other members. They will also conduct Kovid tests. Health workers can be in the same bio bubble as the stars. RTPCR inspections will be conducted in the IPL every three days.
The BCCI had earlier stated that spectators would be allowed in the matches. The BCCI has announced that a fixed number of spectators will be allowed in the stadiums. The BCCI has not specified the percentage of people allowed in the stadiums. Admission may be subject to Kovid restrictions in the respective areas.
