Red card referee Son Heung-min .. “Unfortunate for both countries”

The referee for today’s game is a bit familiar to us too.

Anthony Taylor, the midfielder who sent off Son Heung-min in the Premier League three years ago.

Known as a former prison guard, the referee was controversial due to his inconsistent rulings.

He is tolerant of physical fights and makes the game rough, but he also takes a red card without hesitation for violent fouls or protests.

This is reporter Seongcheol Yoon.

Heung-min’s son, who fell, arrives for Chelsea defender Rudiger.

Referee Taylor, who watched the video read, issued a red card and Son Heung-min was banned for three matches despite the Tottenham club’s appeal.

“It was a mistake by the referee to send him off immediately. Rudiger must be having a medical because he must have broken a rib.”

The decision sparked controversy two months later.

This is because referee Taylor did not even foul Manchester United’s Maguire, who had committed a similar foul.

At the time, former EPL referees and retired players questioned the fairness.

Today’s match against Ghana is Taylor’s center.

Having played in the Premier League for 12 years, he is famous for not blowing his whistle in moderately physical contests.

On the other hand, when the game has overheated, it has been embarrassing to pull the card out and has been the subject of controversy many times.

Of the 16 red cards issued throughout the Premier League this season, referee Taylor alone picked up five.

It is expected to be an important variable in the game against Ghana in the sense that a physical fight can easily become a rough and unexpected warning or sending offs can happen.

However, Ghana, who have already received 4 cautions against Portugal, may be more sensitive than us, who only received one caution against Uruguay.

Even British football fans reacted to the news that Taylor had been appointed referee for today’s game, saying, “It’s unfortunate for both countries.”

In a situation where a tower of hard work can collapse with a warning or send off, the must-win national team needs to actively use the referee’s instincts as well as grasp Ghana’s strategy.
