Sudhakaran is a symbol of the decline of the Congress. What glory does Sudhakaran see in whitewashing the RSS? Nehru was the Prime Minister when Shyamaprasad Mukherjee was arrested. The Prime Minister said that it is surprising that the person who leads the Congress is not aware of that.

A KPCC president who justifies his communal thinking and RSS love by pressing Nehru is a symbol of the decline of the Congress. KPCC president K. Sudhakaran said that “Jawaharlal Nehru had a great mind which was ready to reconcile even with communal fascism”. That too on Children’s Day when the country remembers Jawaharlal Nehru. What glory does he see in whitewashing the RSS?
Jawaharlal Nehru was a leader with a completely secular mindset. In a letter to the Prime Ministers on 7 December 1947, he explained the nature of the danger posed by the RSS: “The RSS is an organization in the nature of a private army, which certainly remains Nazi in nature.” In another letter, he warned against falling for claims that the RSS was not a political organization.
In a letter to the Prime Ministers on February 5, 1948, shortly after Gandhiji’s assassination: “It is true that the conspirators of Gandhi’s assassination had little success in trying to infiltrate their cells into the various institutions and services of the government. We must stop it and clean up the administration and services.” Nehru wrote.
It is amazing that the Congress leadership in a state is not even aware of the historical fact that Nehru was the Prime Minister of India when Shyam Prasad Mukherjee was arrested in 1953 for entering Kashmir in violation of Article 370. Congress has always had communalists and RSS parties of Sudhakaran’s state of mind. What great sense of democracy is idle in the steps of the Congress of making Shyamaprasad Mukherjee a minister under the pressure of such people? By comparing Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Dr. Ambedkar not only distorts history, Dr. Ambedkar is also insulted.
True Congressmen have a responsibility to respond to Sudhakaran’s attempt to equate his actions with Jawaharlal Nehru after saying that he would have joined the BJP if he felt this way and that he had sent someone to protect the RSS branch. By killing Gandhi, the Hindutvas set the stage for their communal agenda. Prime Minister Nehru banned the RSS then. Only the RSS will be happy if that Nehru is portrayed as a leader who betrayed the RSS. They themselves should explain whether the policy of the Congress is to please them.
