The real thing is coming, the path of Typhoon “Noru”

Prof. Dr. Seree Suparathit, Director of Rangsit University Center for Climate Change and Disasters Post a message on Facebook, Assoc Prof. Dr. Seree Suparathit said that I will speak about extreme weather conditions on 29 September. and will announce the impact of the storm Noru Including forecasts in October and November in room 408, Bangkok Art and Culture Center, from 10.30-12.30, people who are interested to exchange and talk.

Yesterday, the JTWC upgraded Noru to a Super Typhoon before it made landfall in the Philippines and was downgraded to a typhoon. Recently, the Hong Kong Center (HKO) is expected to blow ashore in Vietnam as a Super Typhoon (morning September 28) and will lower the level to Laos (tropical zone) and Thailand (Depression and Low Cell next).

As for the path of the storm Noru is still split. It is expected to blow into the central-lower northeastern region (Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani) on September 29. It tends to curve up through the north-eastern central region (Yasothon, Roi Et, Maha Sarakham, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum) or into the upper central region (Phetchabun, Phichit). Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Tak), so the Chi Mun and Chao Phraya river basins will be directly affected, causing strong winds and heavy to very heavy rain (> 100 mm/ Day).

As in the attached picture from 28-29-30 September (Northeast Central and below, must watch for domino floods) 29-30 (September)-1 (October) (a number of may hit central and upper eastern regions, on for Bangkok and its surroundings) For the North, Upper North-East and South, heavy rain will last until October 3 due to the influence of the rain trough. The south-east monsoon and the Low section, as well as the risk of other storms to follow. Please continue to monitor the situation. and be ready with carelessness
