‘rest is the best’ against Brazil in the round of 16, recovery is the variable

[앵커]

The national football team, who won a ticket to the round of 16, took a break instead of training before a head-to-head match against Brazil.

As players who played full-time in the game in Portugal, such as Son Heung-min, play in three days, the variable is expected to be how much they recover their tired stamina.

This is reporter Kim Jong-sung from Qatar.

After the 1st match against Uruguay and the 2nd match against Ghana, the key players of our national team warmed up gently and adjusted their condition.

But it was different this time.

All the players and coaching staff had time to rest and relieve their tired minds and bodies.

The match against Brazil is 4 am on the 6th, Korean time. There is a limit to how full-time players like captain Son Heung-min can increase their physical strength in a short period of time.

However, this inconvenience is not unique to us.

Brazil played the game 4 hours behind us.

Small differences can make a big difference in a game.

For us, it is encouraging that ‘defensive mainstay’ Kim Min-jae has secured time to regain his health.

Of course, Brazil also had time to recharge with Neymar, Danilo and Sandro.

As the situation is similar, it is expected that the atmosphere of the match will be determined by which side makes the best condition of the lost stamina.

On the other hand, Brazil chose to train, unlike the Korean national team which chose to rest.

There is great interest in the results that the two teams, who showed contrasting appearances, will take in the round of 16.
