‘Your words will always be remembered’; Meerabhai Chanu visits Tendulkar at home

Chanu visited Tendulkar’s house in Mumbai and expressed his gratitude. Chanu won silver at the Tokyo Olympics. Chanu also shows Tendulkar the medal he won.

New Delhi: Indian weightlifter Meerabhai Chanu has thanked cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar for his inspiration. Chanu visited Tendulkar’s house in Mumbai and expressed his gratitude. Chanu won silver at the Tokyo Olympics. Chanu also shows Tendulkar the medal he won.

Chanu tweeted: “Glad to see Tendulkar in person. The words and inspiration he gave will always be in my mind, ”Chanu said. Tendulkar retweeted Chanu’s tweet. As Tendulkar put it … ” I’m glad to see you too. Glad to hear about your legendary journey from Manipur to Tokyo. I want to conquer many more heights, ”Tendulkar said.

Chanu won India’s first medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Chanu is the second Olympic weightlifter to win a medal after Karnam Malleshwari. Malleshwari won bronze at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
